To visually identify news providers or news system software vendors using IPTC standards the IPTC launched a"We Use IPTC" buttons programme.

Terms for applying any of the buttons:

1. A button may be shown only with products (e.g. news services or archives, news system software) that fully comply with one of the IPTC standards. The appropriate "We Use IPTC" button may be applied to the product's web site or to printed matters.

2. The buttons only tells the creator of the product asserts using or implementing the IPTC standard. Do not pretend this product has been tested or approved or is recommended by the IPTC by applying the "We Use IPTC"-button.

3. Any company or organisation applying one or more of the "We Use IPTC"-buttons should send a short notification to the IPTC office (office@iptc.org) telling which button was applied to which web page (URL required).

4. The "We Use IPTC"-button on a web page MUST be linked to the respective "home page" of this standard.
